Plunge us headfirst into a whirlpool of questions surrounding the gaze. With curiosity sparked, "Close your curtains!", this is where the questions arise.

Are you gazing out, taking a sneak peek, has curiosity gotten the better of you? Or is it that you are being watched as you hide behind the protective blinds? Who is watching whom? Taken from her Peekaboo series, these are the questions pop artist Boyarde Messenger poses to the viewer as she combines her art career obsession, "Scopophilia", the pleasure of gazing at the female form, with her beloved pop idiom.

Placing her behind the blinds, removed from her original glance, she watches as we stare back.
