With an art career spanning over 15 years and a chameleon archive of work traversing from genre to genre, from her hugely successful early body art works epitomising female empowerment and now to her international own brand of visually striking pioneered wearable art, Boyarde wants to bring the artist back to where she belongs: back to the gallery with her first ever fashion and art solo show. “I’m longing to have my own show that encompasses my entire art journey. I can see my hand-painted bags on plinths, my body art and new Pop Art wall art on the walls, and even a bag sculpture in the middle! I am so entrenched in the pieces I create, that for some time I Was known as ‘The Bum lady’ and now I am ‘The Bag Lady’ like Mary Poppins! I have become a parody of my own work, but I’m ready to embrace that through my beloved genre of Pop Art, and who knows, I might come out the other end as just me, Boyarde Messenger!”
