I’ve been a busy bee this autumn, lots to cram in, and im still struggling to update my blog enough to keep up with it all! After the crazy wonderful world of hand-painting Charlotte Olympia Dolly-meets-art shoes (maybe more to come though!), i got stuck in with the final preparations for my solo show in Teddington at The Wharf, rushing around to the 8th hour, but it paid off and looked fabulous. Sadly i kind of forgot to take pictures on the private view (very unlike me!) but i got a few ‘before’ pictures. That show is on for 3 months until January 2012 if you want to go and visit it
The owner told me that when i come to collect the work, dont be surprised if i find the locks change! Good sign!
Meanwhile, with that ongoing, i was also getting ready for AAF Hampstead, the first AAF to be in North London and it was packed out! My bottoms took their place at my galleries stand along with the amazing Deborah Azzopardi Pop Art prints and originals, and many other fabulous artists. During the show i took the opportunity to snoop around the other artist’s pieces. Enjoy!x
My Night Prowl’s at last encased in brand new white fillet box frames with museum anti reflection archival glass, doing them justice finally!
Love And The Very Nature of Clouds in Orange with the poem below that i wrote on the body:
one of my brand new body shots, taken in my Magic hut, a blacked out hut on the beach manipulating natural harsh midday sun into sultry contrasting rays onto the body. I hand painted the poem, by my father, Michael Messenger, onto her flesh. I love it
Exhibiting at AAF HAMPSTEAD 2011 with my gallery THE CYNTHIA CORBETT GALLERY, the private view was packed, along with the rest of the exhibiting days. Deborah Azzopardi’s work at our stand, looked fantastic a fellow POP ARTIST
There i am hustling and bustling!
me and my friend Chris, who happens to have just set up his own fabulous amazing online gallery for up and coming artists to show case their work!: http://www.visualarttrader.co.uk/
now time to look around at other art i found interesting or inspiring… loved these portraits and now i cant find the card about who it was!
i love going to the Affordable Art Fairs as there is so much to see and this one was particularly good, plus i sold of course!x
